OrionHealth has provided specialized healthcare services for over 25 years. We help clients who have work injuries, experienced a trauma, suffer from chronic conditions, or need a specialized assessment. Our goal is to bring every individual who walks through our doors back to productive functioning. Our clinicians are innovative, highly-skilled rehabilitation professionals who evaluate fairly, and provide individualized services that get results. We achieve outcomes that sustain long after our clients have left our care.
At OrionHealth, you will be evaluated and treated in a timely manner. Every plan is fitted to each client; we work closely with you, your family and your referrers to provide a suitable, customized program that works. We are proud to staff experts and innovators who think on their feet and work seamlessly in teams and individually. You will have access to a range of clinicians: physicians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, kinesiologists, psychologists, pharmacists, clinical counsellors, vocational consultants, medical-legal experts, and more.
We have served clients from across Canada and help our clients arrange nearby accommodations. We have clinics in Calgary, Alberta and Burnaby, New Westminster, Surrey and Vancouver, British Columbia.
OrionHealth has provided high quality services to people experiencing chronic pain for over 25 years. Originating in 1989 as the Canmore Pain Clinic, the company gradually outgrew its single room and handful of staff to merge with Progressive Rehab in Burnaby, B.C. (est. 1995). The Vancouver Pain Clinic, OrionHealth New Westminster and Calgary sites soon followed and in 2002, the partnership of clinics was renamed OrionHealth. In 2007 we acquired IMS Injury Management Solutions in Surrey and this clinic soon became the OrionHealth Surrey we know today. In December 2016 the Canmore clinic closed and the programs were moved to the Calgary clinic in an effort to bring our services closer to the clients in need.
We have established a reputation as a trusted health services provider. We work closely with our clients, referral sources, and employers to achieve outcomes that are sustained long after transition from our programs.
OrionHealth was Canada’s first privately run pain program awarded a CARF accreditation. We have achieved the full three-year CARF accreditation for our Pain Management and Occupational Rehabilitation Programs since 1994.
On June 1, 2015 we had the pleasure of joining the CBI Health Group. The CBI Health Group is a vast network of healthcare services that provide an integrated approach to health management in Canada. Together we are the largest, most diverse and best-managed interdisciplinary team of clinicians and staff in our field.
Philosophy and Approach
OrionHealth was founded on an interdisciplinary approach to pain assessment and rehabilitation. Using an interdisciplinary approach allows us to address the participant’s needs from a variety of perspectives and expertise in order to develop an integrated program of interventions best suited for each client. Our programs and services are guided by a biopsychosocial philosophy and evidence based practice. OrionHealth considers biological, psychological and social factors as deciding influencers of a client’s response to pain. Because pain is multidimensional in its scope, our approach respects the linkages between these factors, with a focus on the workplace environment for a safe, durable return to productive and sustainable work after injury.
A CARF Three-Year Accreditation was awarded to OrionHealth for our Pain Management and Occupational Rehabilitation (Comprehensive) Programs.
